Default Things to consider before posting a CC

As much as I enjoy this sub-forum, there are some posters out there whose completely ridiculous or poorly thought out ideas depress me. So in an attempt to remedy this frequently reoccurring situation, let me lay down some guide lines to take into consideration before you post your Concept Class.

1. Use proper English
As unique as your idea may be, if its written out poorly, people will disregard it. This is a forum, not a chat room, you have plenty of time to neatly write out your ideas in proper English.
An example of a post with horrid English: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...32&postcount=1

2. Take into consideration pre-existing classes
If you look at your idea and it can be a described as "a paragon but" or "a necromancer with only" or "a warrior, a ranger, a monk, an assassin, and a mesmer" your CC will probably get flamed, and I make an attempt to be the first one to do it. If you want to take a shot at redesigning a class go right ahead, but don't make a slightly different version of an existing class and call it a new one. You're bound to get called out on it, and your thread will no doubt burst into flames, and I'll be there throwing on the kindling ;D

3. Take into consideration Guild Wars lore
As awesome as Dragon Riders are, they do not fit into Guild Wars lore. No matter how well written and planned out your idea is, if it doesn't fit into GW lore, someone will call you out on it. Coming up with CC's all for fun and creativity and such, but if you want a successful thread, don't make it contradictory to what's already out there.
An example of a good CC that, unfortunately, didn't fall into GW lore: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...54#post3870154

4. Flesh out and properly format your CC

-First and foremost, succinctly explain how your CC offers a novel function to the game (no more than five sentences and less than 2 sentences). If it seems to simply be a rehashing of existing functions, your CC will not be added to the list.

Explanation
-Provide a brief, no-nonsense explanation of your CC's role. Example: The Shrift acts as a true tank (unlike any class to date). He redirects damage towards himself, shielding his teammates from harm. This damage is converted into energy by his primary attribute. He then utilizes his expanded energy stores to neutralize enemies by using: 1) hexes which redirect opponents' skills; or 2) calls and shouts which debuff attacking opponents in non-damaging ways.

Class Role
-Please State you CC's Class Role,
Damager, They Deal Damage to enemies. (Crowd Control, Spiking, Degen and etc.)
Disabler, They Harden Enemies' Role or Purpose in Battle. (Shutdown, Disable, Energy/Skill Stealing and etc.)
Suppporter, They make things Easy for Allies or Protect their Allies from Harm. (Energy Regain, Damage Prevention, Tanking, Healing and etc.)

Armor Level
-Please State your CC's armor rating,
High Armor, 80-100 AL
Light Armor, 70-75 AL
Caster Armor, 60 AL

Energy Level
-Please State your CC's Energy Level,
High Energy, 30 Energy, 4 Energy Regen (Caster Energy)
Medium Energy, 25 Energy, 3/4 Energy Regen (Ranger, Derv, Sin Energy)
Low Energy, 20 Energy, 1-3 Energy Regen (War, Para Energy)

Range Type
-Please State your CC's Range Type,
Ranged, Bows, Staves, Wands
Mid-Ranged, Spears, Shortbows
Melee, Sword, Axe, Hammer, Scythe, Daggers
There, exactly that. While it doesn't need to be exactly written like this to the t, doing this sort of thing before hand can probably clear up any of the aforementioned issues. You may think you idea is perfectly original in your head, but once you write it out, you may find errors in design or discovered you've made a class that already exists.
An example of a well planned out CC: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10264493

5. Have fun
Be creative but realistic with your ideas. None of the CC's we post will probably ever make it in-game, but its fun to play dev and be original. Now don't go and post "Vampire with t3h laZ0r beemzzz" and expect it to be received as a valid CC. If you want to make a joke CC make it obvious that its a joke. If you have a valid idea that you put time and effort into, people will notice and give you just praise. (unless you post an assassin CC ;P)

These are just some of the things that I think people should think over, before posting something that may end up in flames and increase my post count ;D
Feel free to add anything.
